Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure | Melbourne VIC
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our client’s team in Melbourne, delivering major civil infrastructure projects across Victoria.
This is a 7 month contract opportunity suited to a strong delivery professional with proven experience managing roads, drainage, earthworks, and utilities infrastructure projects.
About the Role
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Employment Type: Contract role (7 months)
Salary: Competitive, DOE
You will play a key leadership role in delivering civil infrastructure packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of civil infrastructure projects
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, and plant resources
- Oversee construction programming and project sequencing
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Manage QA documentation including ITPs, inspections, and compliance processes
- Monitor project performance across cost, schedule, and quality
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Mentor engineers and support project delivery teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager in civil infrastructure projects
- Strong background in roads, drainage, earthworks, or utilities
- Experience managing subcontractors and site operations
- Strong understanding of QA processes and project documentation
- Ability to manage project programming and commercial performance
- Civil Engineering qualification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
