Quantity Surveyor – Civil, Concrete & Building Structures | Sydney NSW

We’re seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Sydney, supporting the commercial delivery of civil, concrete, and building structures projects.

This role is ideal for a commercially focused QS with strong experience in cost control, procurement, variations, and contract administration across construction and infrastructure environments.

Location: Sydney, New South Wales

Salary: Competitive, DOE

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to manage project costs, assess variations, support procurement, and ensure accurate commercial reporting throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost control, budgets, forecasts, and commercial reporting
• Prepare and assess progress claims, variations, and subcontractor payments
• Support procurement, tender comparisons, and subcontractor agreements
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Track project costs, commitments, and financial performance
• Assist with contract administration and commercial risk management
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting documentation

Requirements

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or infrastructure projects
• Background in civil, concrete, or building structures highly regarded
• Strong understanding of cost control, variations, procurement, and contract administration
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
• Proficiency in Excel and construction cost management systems
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar
• Full Australian working rights
