Junior Engineer / Site Engineer / Project Engineer – FRP & Bridges | Canberra ACT

We’re seeking a Civil Junior Engineer, Site Engineer, Project Engineer, or Senior Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Canberra, supporting the delivery of FRP (Form, Reo, Pour), bridge, and civil infrastructure projects.

This is a contract role offering up to $170K, depending on experience. Accommodation can be provided for suitable candidates.

This opportunity is open to engineers at different levels, from junior engineers through to senior project engineers, provided they have relevant experience in civil construction, FRP, bridges, or structural infrastructure works.

You will support site delivery, quality documentation, subcontractor coordination, and project reporting across active civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of civil infrastructure, FRP, and bridge projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, plant, materials, and site activities
  • Assist with construction planning, sequencing, and short-term programs
  • Prepare and manage ITPs, RFIs, QA records, and site documentation
  • Review drawings, specifications, reinforcement schedules, and methodologies
  • Monitor progress, quality, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Support procurement, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
  • Liaise with supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Provide technical support and assist in resolving site issues

Requirements

  • Experience in civil construction, FRP, bridges, or structural infrastructure projects
  • Open to Junior Engineers, Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and Senior Project Engineers
  • Strong understanding of Form, Reo, Pour processes highly regarded
  • Bridge or structural concrete experience highly desirable
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience with ITPs, RFIs, QA documentation, and site records
  • Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Full Australian working rights
