We’re seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our client’s team in Sydney, supporting the delivery of civil, rail, transport and defence infrastructure projects.
This is a full-time role suited to an accomplished survey professional with strong construction surveying experience, advanced technical capability and a proven ability to coordinate survey activities across complex infrastructure projects.

You will lead and coordinate surveying activities across active infrastructure projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives. The role will involve survey planning, set-out, control networks, verification surveys, as-built documentation, digital models and the management of survey data throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead surveying activities across civil, rail, transport and defence infrastructure projects
- Establish, maintain and verify survey control networks
- Complete construction set-out, verification surveys and as-built surveys
- Review drawings, specifications, digital models and construction documentation
- Prepare and manage survey data, field records, reports and as-built documentation
- Coordinate survey requirements with project managers, engineers, supervisors and site teams
- Provide technical guidance and support to surveyors and project personnel
- Monitor survey accuracy, quality assurance and compliance with project requirements
- Identify and resolve survey discrepancies, design conflicts and technical issues
- Manage survey equipment, calibration records and site documentation
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Engineering Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor or Construction Surveyor
- Strong experience on civil, rail, transport or defence infrastructure projects
- Advanced construction set-out, survey control, verification and as-built survey experience
- Proficiency using Total Stations, GPS and digital survey equipment
- Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline
- Local Australian infrastructure project experience highly desirable
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid driver’s licence
