About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team on a major tunnel project in Melbourne.

This is a six-month contract role focused on managing an electrical subcontractor through the completion of the remaining electrical works. The successful candidate will have strong site-based delivery experience, particularly across ITS, conduiting and tunnel or major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the electrical subcontractor’s site activities.
• Oversee the completion of electrical works within the tunnel.
• Coordinate ITS, conduiting and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Review drawings, specifications and work packages.
• Manage site interfaces with civil, mechanical and other project teams.
• Ensure works comply with project specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience delivering electrical works on major civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of ITS and conduiting installations.
• Tunnel project experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with testing, commissioning and project close-out activities.
• Full Australian working rights.
