Senior Surveyor – Civil Projects | Melbourne

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join a well-established contractor delivering key civil construction projects throughout Melbourne. If you have strong technical capabilities and enjoy working across roadworks, drainage, and infrastructure developments, this could be your next move.

About the Role

Location: Melbourne, Victoria (Candidate must be open to travel to other projects across Victoria)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: AUD $110,000 – $140,000 + Super (Overtime hours are paid)

This role will place you at the centre of Melbourne’s growing infrastructure sector. You’ll work on large-scale works, delivering precise surveying using Leica instruments and 12D software in collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate set-out and survey support for road and drainage works

• Operate and maintain Leica Total Station and 12D for field-to-office tasks

• Read and interpret design plans and technical drawings

• Ensure quality control of all survey data and documentation

• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and construction crews on site

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil infrastructure surveying

• Confident working with Leica, Total Station, and 12D software

• Solid understanding of urban road and drainage construction

• Excellent record-keeping and site communication

• Ability to manage workload independently across active sites
