We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Brisbane, delivering key utilities and civil infrastructure projects across Queensland. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in utilities delivery and a proven ability to manage complex scopes from planning to completion.

As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in project planning, coordination, and delivery. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, while supporting cost control and stakeholder management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver utilities infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, and drainage

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and project documentation

• Prepare and maintain short- and medium-term construction programs

• Track progress, manage budgets, and implement risk mitigation strategies

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and ITPs

• Monitor safety and environmental performance in line with company standards

• Assist in preparing claims, variations, and cost reports

• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum 4–7 years’ experience in utilities and civil infrastructure projects

• Demonstrated experience in water, sewer, or drainage construction

• Strong knowledge of project documentation, QA/QC processes, and contract administration

• Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities and lead site activities

• Full Australian working rights
