Junior Engineering Surveyor – Civil & Infrastructure Projects | Brisbane or Adelaide

We’re seeking a motivated Junior Engineering Surveyor to join our client’s team in Brisbane or Adelaide, supporting a range of civil and subdivision projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to advance their career with a well-established contractor known for delivering high-quality infrastructure works.

About the Role

Location: Brisbane, QLD or Adelaide, SA

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + Super + Vehicle (Depending on Experience)

As a Junior Engineering Surveyor, you’ll play an integral role in supporting survey operations across live project sites. You’ll be responsible for set-out, data collection, and assisting senior surveyors to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform survey set-out and as-built surveys for civil and infrastructure projects

• Assist senior surveyors with data management, model building, and field work

• Collect and process survey data using total stations and GPS equipment

• Maintain accurate records of survey activities and project documentation

• Liaise with project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure design accuracy

• Contribute to maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards on site

• Support the team in maintaining and calibrating survey instruments

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in civil or construction surveying

• Strong ability to perform set-out work independently

• Subdivision experience beneficial but not essential

• Familiarity with surveying software and GPS / total station equipment

• Strong understanding of civil drawings and plans

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geospatial Science, or Civil Engineering

• Full Australian working rights and valid driver’s licence
