Engineering Surveyor – Civil, Roads & Bridges | Rockhampton QLD

We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our client’s team in Rockhampton, supporting the delivery of civil infrastructure, roadworks, and bridge projects across the region. This role includes accommodation provided, making it an excellent opportunity for surveyors looking to work on regional infrastructure projects.

About the Role

Location: Rockhampton, Queensland
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (project dependent)
Accommodation: Provided
Salary / Rates: Up to $140.000 + super , DOE

You will work closely with project engineers and construction teams, providing accurate surveying support to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design and specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering surveys including set-out, control, as-builts, and verification surveys

• Provide survey support across civil infrastructure, road, and bridge construction projects

• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design models

• Establish and maintain survey control networks

• Assist construction teams with accurate spatial data and site layouts

• Maintain accurate survey records and documentation

• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and project managers on site requirements

• Ensure survey activities comply with quality, safety, and project standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor on civil construction projects

• Background in roads, bridges, or major infrastructure works highly regarded

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Competency using modern survey equipment (total station, GPS)

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Relevant qualification in Surveying or Spatial Sciences

• Full Australian working rights
