We’re seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our client’s team in Gold Coast, Queensland, working across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects. This is a permanent role ideal for an estimator with strong technical knowledge and hands-on industry experience.

Salary: Up to $130,000, DOE
The Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate tenders and cost plans across a range of projects, with exposure to earthworks, drilling, anchoring, and concreting. Candidates with a geotechnical degree will be highly regarded, though this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions for civil infrastructure projects

Conduct quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and risk analysis

Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to prepare BOQs and budgets

Support value-engineering strategies to improve project competitiveness

Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records

Contribute to pre-contract negotiations and client presentations
Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating for civil infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of earthworks, drilling, anchoring, and concreting is highly regarded.

Diploma, degree, or qualification in Civil Engineering or similar; Geotechnical degree highly desirable

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail

Strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and project teams
