Estimator – FRP (Form, Reo, Pour) | Melbourne VIC

We’re seeking an experienced Estimator with strong FRP (Form, Reo, Pour) experience to join our client’s team in Melbourne. This is a full-time role ideal for a civil or structures-focused estimator with a deep understanding of concrete, formwork and reinforcement packages.

Salary: Up to $150,000 + Super (DOE)

You will lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing for FRP-heavy civil and structural projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for FRP (Form, Reo, Pour) packages

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies

• Produce BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender proposals

• Source subcontractor and supplier pricing and conduct comparisons

• Identify scope risks, cost savings, and value engineering opportunities

• Maintain cost databases and historical project records

• Support tender negotiations and project handover to delivery teams

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and the commercial team

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience estimating FRP or concrete-heavy civil/structural projects

• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement schedules, and concrete works

• Experience working on civil, bridge, structures, or major infrastructure projects

• Proficiency in estimating software and advanced Excel skills

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications

• Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying
