HSE Advisor – HSE & QA Compliance | Melbourne
We’re seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our client’s team in Melbourne, supporting internal auditing and compliance across multiple construction projects, workshop operations, and office environments.
This role is ideal for a safety professional with strong knowledge of HSE systems, QA compliance, ISO 9001, and site auditing, looking to take ownership of safety and quality performance across a growing project portfolio.
About the Role
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 + Super + Vehicle
You will be responsible for conducting internal audits, maintaining HSE and QA compliance, supporting project teams, and ensuring safety systems are consistently implemented across sites, workshop areas, and office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits across project sites, workshop, and office locations
- Monitor compliance with HSE and QA systems across all work areas
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Review and maintain SWMS, procedures, registers, and safety documentation
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action close-out
- Assist with quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with project managers, supervisors, workshop teams, and office staff
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management
- Support training, toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor, or HSEQ professional
- Experience working across construction, infrastructure, workshop, or project environments
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety required
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and QA compliance requirements
- Experience conducting internal audits and site compliance reviews
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and incident investigation processes
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- High attention to detail and proactive approach to compliance
- Valid driver’s licence
- Full Australian working rights
