Estimator – Civil Infrastructure | Melbourne VIC
We’re seeking an Estimator to join our client’s team in Melbourne, supporting the tendering and pricing of civil infrastructure projects across Victoria.
This is a full-time role suited to candidates with 2–4 years of estimating experience within civil infrastructure or civil construction companies.

Salary: Competitive, DOE
You will work closely with the estimating, pre-contracts, and project delivery teams to prepare accurate tenders, cost estimates, and pricing submissions for upcoming civil infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for civil infrastructure projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost breakdowns
- Source and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assist with BOQs, tender schedules, and pricing documentation
- Identify project risks, cost impacts, and value engineering opportunities
- Support tender reviews and handover to project delivery teams
- Maintain estimating records, pricing data, and tender documentation
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in estimating within civil infrastructure or civil construction companies
- Experience pricing civil works such as roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, or subdivisions highly regarded
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar
- Full Australian working rights
