Engineering Surveyor – Civil Infrastructure | Canberra ACT
We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our client’s team in Canberra, supporting the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the region.
This is a full-time role suited to surveyors with strong construction surveying experience, accurate set-out capability, and a solid understanding of civil project delivery. A DIDO option can be provided for suitable candidates.

You will provide accurate survey support across active civil infrastructure projects, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and construction teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering surveys including set-out, control, as-built, and verification surveys
- Support delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Canberra and surrounding areas
- Interpret construction drawings, design models, and technical specifications
- Establish and maintain survey control networks
- Prepare survey data, reports, and site documentation
- Liaise with project engineers, supervisors, and site teams
- Ensure survey works comply with quality, safety, and project requirements
- Assist with quantities, levels, and construction verification as required
Requirements
- Experience as an Engineering Surveyor on civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong set-out experience across roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities, or structures
- Local Australian project experience highly desirable
- Proficiency with modern survey equipment such as Total Station and GPS
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and digital models
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, or Civil Engineering
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid driver’s licence
