About the Role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with FRP estimating experience to join our client’s team in Sydney.

This role is suited to an engineer with a strong civil construction background and at least 1 year of experience estimating formwork, reinforcement and concrete (FRP) works on infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender documentation, drawings and scopes of work.
• Prepare labour, plant, material and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with tender submissions and supporting documentation.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and scope requirements during the estimating process.
• Liaise with project, engineering and construction teams to validate methodologies and pricing.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and supporting documentation.

Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

• Civil Engineering qualification or relevant equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience estimating FRP works on infrastructure projects.
• Practical understanding of formwork, reinforcement and concrete construction.
• Experience completing quantity take-offs and preparing construction estimates.
• Ability to interpret civil and structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
