Project Engineer – Building & Infrastructure | Bundaberg QLD (Contract)

We’re seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Bundaberg, Queensland on a fixed-term 6-month contract. This role offers a 10/4 DIDO roster, with accommodation and meals provided on site.

You’ll be supporting the delivery of a major regional infrastructure project, coordinating construction activities across building and structural works to ensure safety, quality, and schedule targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer in coordinating daily construction activities

• Oversee and support delivery of structural steel, cladding, and fit-out packages

• Develop and maintain short- and medium-term construction programs aligned with overall milestones

• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with design documentation, specifications, and ITPs

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and ensure QA compliance

• Contribute to the project’s safety culture and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer in building or transport infrastructure projects

• Demonstrated experience delivering structural steel and cladding works

• Strong understanding of construction programming (Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Full Australian working rights
