Project Engineer – Building & Infrastructure | Bundaberg QLD (Contract)
We’re seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Bundaberg, Queensland on a fixed-term 6-month contract. This role offers a 10/4 DIDO roster, with accommodation and meals provided on site.
You’ll be supporting the delivery of a major regional infrastructure project, coordinating construction activities across building and structural works to ensure safety, quality, and schedule targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Senior Project Engineer in coordinating daily construction activities

Oversee and support delivery of structural steel, cladding, and fit-out packages

Develop and maintain short- and medium-term construction programs aligned with overall milestones

Coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with design documentation, specifications, and ITPs

Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and ensure QA compliance

Contribute to the project’s safety culture and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer in building or transport infrastructure projects

Demonstrated experience delivering structural steel and cladding works

Strong understanding of construction programming (Primavera P6 or MS Project preferred)

Excellent communication and organisational skills
