Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer – Pavements & Airside | Adelaide SA (Contract Role)

We’re seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Adelaide for a 14-week contract. This role focuses on pavement projects, with airside experience highly regarded.

You’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of civil pavement works, coordinating site teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a short-term but career-defining opportunity for engineers with proven pavement expertise and exposure to complex infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day project delivery for pavement construction works

  • Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials, and plant on-site

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documentation

  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards

  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and project progress during the contract period

  • Support project managers with reporting, forecasting, and documentation

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery, especially in airside environments

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pavement projects (civil infrastructure)

  • Airside project experience highly regarded

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related qualification

  • Proven skills in site coordination and subcontractor management

  • Strong understanding of safety compliance and quality systems

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
