Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager – Water & Sewer | Wodonga VIC (DIDO to Melbourne)

We’re hiring a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Project Manager to join a civil contractor delivering water and sewer infrastructure projects across Regional Victoria. This is a DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out) role from Melbourne to Wodonga, offering the chance to work on technically challenging and vital public infrastructure.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: DOE – Salary will be based on experience and seniority. LAFHA open to discussion.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

You’ll oversee end-to-end delivery of regional water and sewer infrastructure works—managing subcontractors, site activities, project milestones, and compliance standards. The position is open to engineers with proven field experience and the ability to lead site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project delivery of water and sewer infrastructure upgrades

  • Lead engineering and construction teams on-site to meet time and quality targets

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources

  • Interpret design documentation and ensure construction aligns with approved plans

  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and technical risks

  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality assurance standards

  • Prepare progress reports and support project handover

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in water and sewer projects (civil infrastructure)

  • Experience in regional project delivery and working across multiple project phases

  • Proven track record in civil construction—preferably pipeline or sewer renewal projects

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills for onsite delivery

  • Full Australian working rights are required (visa sponsorship not available)

  • Local experience within Australia is essential
