Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Construction | Sydney NSW

We’re seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction team delivering civil and infrastructure projects across Sydney.

You will be responsible for the effective management of project costs, contracts, and financial reporting, supporting project teams to ensure commercial success and profitability across live construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project cost plans, estimates, and budgets from tender through delivery

• Monitor and control construction costs, cash flow, and forecasts

• Assist with tender submissions, bills of quantities, and commercial documentation

• Identify, assess, and manage variations and changes in scope

• Support contract administration, subcontractor negotiations, and procurement

• Provide accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial advice to project teams

• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders

• Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation

• Support dispute resolution related to costs and contracts where required

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar

• 2+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (senior candidates encouraged to apply)

• Experience working within a contracting or construction environment

• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost control, and commercial reporting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management systems

• Full Australian working rights
