Quantity Surveyor – Energy & Renewable Mega Projects | FIFO Europe (Ex-Ireland)

We’re seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our client’s team delivering major Energy and Renewable Infrastructure projects across Europe. This is a long-term opportunity offering FIFO rotations from Ireland to multiple European project locations.

About the Role

Location: Various European project sites (FIFO from Ireland)

You will support commercial delivery across multi-country energy and renewable projects, including cost management, procurement, contract administration, and reporting under international contract frameworks such as FIDIC and NEC.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for major energy and renewable infrastructure projects

• Measure quantities, assess variations, and conduct detailed cost analysis

• Prepare tender documentation, procurement schedules, and subcontractor evaluations

• Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC, NEC, and other international standards

• Support commercial reporting, change management, and cash-flow projections

• Liaise with engineering, planning, and site teams across multiple European locations

• Maintain cost control systems and ensure compliance with EU procurement and regulatory requirements

• Contribute to project risk analysis and commercial strategy

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline

• Professional membership SCSI / RICS advantageous

Experience

• 3–7+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure

• Experience within energy, renewables, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure highly preferred

• Experience working with international construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC)

• Exposure to multi-country project delivery desirable

Technical Skills

• Strong measurement, costing, and procurement knowledge for civil works

• Proficient with estimating/cost management software (BuildSoft, CostX, Excel)

• Good understanding of EU construction regulations, compliance, and procurement

• Strong commercial reporting and analytical capability

• Strong communication and stakeholder management

• Ability to work across multicultural and multi-disciplinary teams

• Willingness to travel on a FIFO rotation from Ireland to Europe
