Quantity Surveyor – Civil Construction – Ireland

We’re seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our client’s team delivering major Civil Infrastructure projects across Ireland and Northern Ireland

About the Role

Location: Ireland and Northern Ireland

Employment Type: Full-Time

You will support commercial delivery across several projects, including cost management, procurement, contract administration, and reporting under international contract frameworks such as FIDIC and NEC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for major civil or utilities infrastructure projects

  • Measure quantities, assess variations, and conduct detailed cost analysis

  • Prepare tender documentation, procurement schedules, and subcontractor evaluations

  • Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC, NEC, and other international standards

  • Support commercial reporting, change management, and cash-flow projections

  • Liaise with engineering, planning, and site teams

  • Maintain cost control systems and ensure compliance with EU procurement and regulatory requirements

  • Contribute to project risk analysis and commercial strategy

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline

  • Professional membership SCSI / RICS advantageous

Experience

  • 3–7+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure

  • Experience within civil or utilities, or large-scale infrastructure highly preferred

  • Experience working with international construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC)

Technical Skills

  • Strong measurement, costing, and procurement knowledge for civil works

  • Proficient with estimating/cost management software (BuildSoft, CostX, Excel)

  • Strong commercial reporting and analytical capability

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
