Site Engineer / Project Engineer – Utilities Infrastructure | Sydney NSW
We’re seeking a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Sydney, supporting the delivery of utilities infrastructure projects across the region.
This is a 4-month contract role, ideal for an engineer with strong site coordination experience and a background in utilities, civil infrastructure, or service relocation works.
About the Role
Location: Sydney, New South Wales
Employment Type: Contract – 4 Months
Salary: Competitive, DOE
You will work closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams to support the safe and efficient delivery of utilities infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of utilities infrastructure projects across active sites
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant, materials, and site activities
- Prepare and manage ITPs, RFIs, QA records, and project documentation
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Monitor site progress, sequencing, safety, and quality compliance
- Assist with procurement, cost tracking, and progress reporting
- Liaise with supervisors, project managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Identify site issues and assist with practical engineering solutions
Requirements
- Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer in civil construction
- Strong background in utilities infrastructure projects
- Experience in water, sewer, drainage, electrical, communications, or service relocation works highly regarded
- Strong understanding of QA processes, ITPs, RFIs, and site documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Full Australian working rights
