Job Offer: Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – Sydney

Location: Sydney, Australia

Overview:

We are seeking a technically skilled Quantity Surveyor Sydney-based with experience in utilities and civils, to join our client’s team. This role also invites Estimator Sydney-based, focused on providing detailed and precise cost management and estimation for high-profile infrastructure projects.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project cost models and perform value engineering to optimize expenditures.
  • Utilize advanced quantitative methods to forecast project costs and assess financial risk.
  • Implement and manage cost-control systems to ensure budget adherence.
  • Analyze and evaluate bids from contractors, with a keen eye for technical specifications and cost efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure project specifications are meticulously incorporated into cost estimates.

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience in Utilities and Civils infrastructure projects is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying.
  • Proficiency in specialized estimation software such as CostX, BuildSoft, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction technology, and industry standards.
  • Capable of interpreting complex project drawings and technical documents for accurate cost forecasting.
